I would think that I might be exposing some other problem, but if the model behaved correctly, I'm guessing ModelTest from Qt Labs would not crash :) It is obvious that QML and QWidgets handle the events differently, but I think this would not happen if the model didn't send them mixed signals. Unfortunately, I'm unable to find what signals are not correct...
