Yes, I'm aware. It came up numerous times in our multi-day discussion! :)

We need to be careful we're not treating the user's desktop as some sort of experimental playground for flip-flopping about indecisively on.

But ultimately, sure.

One technical objection: Unless there's a significant change of default wallpaper style, it'll be undreadable unless we also bring back the black banners that were also there in the original lockscreen when we used the wallpaper.

The current Breeze wallpaper actually looks fantastic. See https://phabricator.kde.org/file/data/35tqnumciplz4c4psbxr/PHID-FILE-ram2fezmihtueiel5nb4/IMG_0792.jpg

Without changes to the SDDM and KScreenLocker themes, we'd need to ensure that subsequent wallpapers also look this good, but that seems doable.

But I liked those anyway, so that's easily solved.

I'd strongly approve, and that would solve a multitude of bugs and user complaints about the default theme being unreadable on light backgrounds:

We'd want to make it look good, of course, so people don't complain about *that!*

Would you like me to file Bugzilla tickets to track this work?

Thanks!

Nate
