@filipf That looks about right! @davidedmundson Reading through that bug report, it looks like we do some magic to avoid storing huge pixmaps in memory, so is it true that this change would avoid increasing users' memory consumption? I was thinking that on future memory constrained mobile devices especially, this might otherwise cause a deal-breaking regression and I don't want to be responsible for that. :) Also what exactly do you mean by "run-time resizes"? Where would these happen?
