Hi, I've been trying to get gazebo from the latest tarball to run on my linux box (Ubuntu Feisty) with an ATI Radeon card, but I've been getting "camera initialization failed: no rendering context":
==== [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ wxgazebo /usr/local/share/gazebo/worlds/example.world starting server waiting for server ** Gazebo 0.8.1-rc1 ** * Part of the Player/Stage Project [http://playerstage.sourceforge.net]. * Copyright 2000-2005 Brian Gerkey, Richard Vaughan, Andrew Howard, * Nate Koenig and contributors. * Released under the GNU General Public License. using display [:0.0] error : camera initialization failed: no rendering context Initialization failed server died stopping server [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ /usr/local/share/gazebo/worlds/example.world ==== I have the fglrx drivers installed. Browsing the mailing list archives suggests that I might be SOL and I'll have to run from SVN. Is that true? (I've had trouble compiling from SVN, too, but I'll send that in a separate message.) Jeff ps -- The tarball is called gazebo-0.7.0.tar.gz, but when I run it, it says it's 0.8.1rc1.
