follow jdk >= 10 and enable AssumeMP by default
let's make jdk8 independent of glibc implementation details at the cost
of minor deviation from a standard behavior. workaround with
_JAVA_OPTIONS still to be kept for possibly "broken" jdk8 used to build
new version with toggled default.
