don't worry, you propably do not use gconf at all or is not runnig right now. This is mozilla plugin which if loaded (if gconf found) use gnome settings from gconf keys, otherwise no gconf support is enabled and nothing wrong happened. It's just checked everytime while run mozilla. I do not remember but there can be plugin for kde settings daemon too (not sure) - it's quite cool feature.
