At some stage it's clearly (IMHO!) going to be worth forking the plex86
tree, and producing a version which is optimised for hosting win9x. I
currently use win4lin for this and am quite happy with the product per
se... 

but it's clear that the present management at Netraverse are going to
continue keeping details of the win4lin vm all to themselves and charge
for each new upgrade (eg to kernel 2.4.x). I'd rather have a product I
can take a constructive role in using, and possibly help fix - hence my
lurking on this list.
