[plex86] Odd pragma message

While booting Pragma Linux + plex86 I see the following message

Intel Pentium with F0 0F bug - workaround enabled.

This seems odd for me because my processor is an AMD Athlon.  Any explanation why I am seeing this?

AMD Athlon 1.0GHZ
Redhat 7.0 host
gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.0)
