The XFree86-devel package is installed. The package does not include a
libX11.a. I'm using Mandrake 8.0.
A search for libX11* shows:
/usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so@
/usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6@
/usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6.2*
But ... I'll track it down and install it.
