Why thank you!  I used The GIMP.  http://gimp.org/
Not the easiest tool to create charts with, but the results tend to be 
pretty.  BTW, I wasn't trying to step on anyone's toes -- if I had 
realized someone else had sent a gif to the list, I wouldn't have 
bothered.
