CJ,
Can you give me details of your setup, please? In purticular, what's the
geometry
of the drive you're trying to boot off of, do you have a Dynamic Disk
Overlay
or somthing like it (Disk Manager)? What happens when you try?

I've been trying to do more or less the same thing. When I try, however,
I get LI 01 01 01...
I think this is because I'm using DDO, which works fine for a normal boot,
but when plex86 does it's thing, the DDO doesn't run because /dev/hda is
only the portion after the overlay.

However, there is some evidence against this: When I boot off of a
bootfloppy,
giving the harddrive as c, DOS sees a whole bunch of partitions, all of
which
I can go to, and DIR, and get garbage (but not an Abort, Retry, Fail). This
goes against what happens when I boot off a floppy on the real machine --
then the drive shows up as having only one non-dos partition on it.

I'm not certian how to interpret that.

It looks like the Good Way would involve changes to the way linux deals with
DDO... Which might involve some pretty radical changes. I'm going to talk
to
linux-kernel. Sometime.

Oh, does plex86 support huge drives at all yet (IE does it have a
deeper-then-BIOS
limitation on hard drive paramaters)? Last time I asked was before there
was a
FreeMWare, so things have hopefuly changed since then.
