Hello,
I recompiled my kernel without SMP support and rebooted on my dual celeron
366. Plex now successfully starts the pragma Linux setup. Nice - but wow,
it is a tad bit slow.. :-)
I'll try freedos, and recompiling with uniprocessor with APIC support later
on.

BTW, when going from smp to uni in the kernel configs, one must backup
their .config, run "make mrproper", restore their .config, run "make
menuconfig" and exit with save, then do "make dep ; make bzImage ; ..."
The kernel build stuff appears to be a little flaky when changing some
variables..
