The way that Tom's RTBT is set up you can't mount it!!!!  Please read the
docs on his site or that come on the disk itself!!!!  He tells you this
explicitly (and since it is a compressed image, it makes a whole hell of a
lot of sense too!!).

For starters, just in case:
1)Tom's RTBT is a 1770KB (almost 1.77MB....) image
2)the "boot" portion is the uncompressed first chunk (kernel & boot files)
3)the "filesystem root" and "/usr" are mostly in the second part (the
compressed image that fills the rest of the disk)
4)there is no way in hell (other than that detailed on the disk itself) to
manipulate the stuff on the disk properly as a standard set of files. Trust
me ;^)
