Sure; I have a P5-133. But replacing the m/b, CPU and RAM costs a heck of a 
lot less than I paid for the system in the first place!!

A program that works is much more valuable than one that doesn't. I still go 
for better code sooner, and press on to other features.

As to whether properly-written C outperforms C++, I leave that to others. 
However, I did see someone say it's not necessarily so.
