But he was using the same kernel version if I remember
correctly.  He was running 2.2.14, but it was reported as
2.2.14-5.0 or something.  I think this mismatch thing might also
happen if you don't choose the "versioned modules" option while
compiling the kernel.

Please ignore this if I did not remember correctly or am talking
nonsense.  :)
