It's not a minor difference, it's a HUGE difference. On the K6-3 I had
around 700000 ips, probably a bit less (I forget now), on the Tbird I
am getting roughly 20000 ips, around thirty-five times slower! At first
I assumed it was a cosmetic problem but it unfortunately it actually
seems to be running at that speed. I haven't had the patience to sit
out the POST yet.
I guess I'll have to try profiling it or something..
