I was wondering if we could use a "hot-key" setup to turn the mouse on &
off....? (I got the current code to work--I had screwed something up playing
with it :-). I would also like to have my "middle-click" back, as it is a
wheel-mouse!!!) I was thinking that a Ctrl-PrntSrcn or something similar would
be safe (and in my opinion, useful). I am just trying to figure out how to
catch the key event so that I can send in a patch for it. I'm guessing the
"handle_events()" in x.cc would be the right place to put this for the moment?
Also, on the GUI rant, I was wondering about the keyboard scancodes. Would it
be a major problem if I were to patch keyboard.cc to use 16-bit keyboard
scancodes? (Or am I misinterpreting some of the "cooked" scancodes for raw
ones?)
As for the thing about a good widget set, there are lots to choose from (that
are free....). If we can find some that are license-compatible with plex86, I
think that we should be all set. I'll start a search up for something in that
category--possibly this afternoon. It may be of some value to ask some of the
graphics-design competent individuals to make icons for things like "cache write
commit," however, just so that we can have a unified user environment.
My thoughts for the day.....,

PS. A couple of my posts may have gone unsigned due to an e-mail
error......working on this.................
