Thanks all for helping me past the kernel-module mismatch!
Now I'm getting an "ioctl ALLOCVPHYS : cannot allocate memory" error when I
"./plex86 -f ../conf/freedos"
What's more exciting is that if I execute "./plex86 -f ../conf/freedos"
several times in a row my machine will crash and reboot into repair mode.
