I wasn't going to start this thread, but someone else did so I'll add to it.

Actually "resent" can be two different words. The first is the past tense of
"resend". It means "to send again or to send back" and is pronounced with an
"s" sound.  The second means "to feel or express annoyance or ill will at"
and the 's' is pronounced with a "z" sound.  "Re-sent" isn't exactly a word,
however, the hyphenation removes the abiguity because it is only used when
"re-" is a prefix meaning "again, anew, back or backward".

I must admit that I'm not a native 'English speaker', so  I also must admit 
that I don't get the difference  between 'resent' and 're-sent'
(If you would explain it to me, I would appreciate that)
