------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2006-01-18 15:36 ------- Are you sure you have the same kernel version and kernel sources version? What do you have in /var/log/Xorg.0.log when X doesn't start? Regarding the PLF packages "overriding" stock packages, I do share your concern. Currently I can think of three ways of going forward: a) Continue as before. Unfortunately, if the user has inconsistent kernel&kernel-source versions this will break the driver as module cannot be built (this is actually a general problem with the Mandriva's kernel-source packages). b) Drop packages from PLF (I could maintain them separately). c) Rename the packages to something like dkms-nvidia-plf etc. to prevent --auto- select from upgrading stock packages to plf ones. What do you (and "you" means everybody reading this) think? -- Configure bugmail: https://plf.zarb.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are automatically notified of all bug changes. _______________________________________________ PLF-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://www.zarb.org/mailman/listinfo/plf-discuss
