Kmail read html for more than two year now, and better, its configuration 
allow to read/not read or warn when message is in html.

For the mail you complained, I have this message:

"Note: This is an HTML message. For security reasons, only the raw HTML code 
is shown. If you trust the sender of this message then you can activate 
formatted HTML display for this message by clicking here."

(the "clicking here" is a link).

Images are also perfectly download and showed.
