The CD Version should be for people who have not a DVD burner or don't want to download a 4,3GB DVD-ISO (4x700MB = 2,8GB) > PD: It would be interesting so much if you would publish the > documentation with the steps involved with packaging your custom > Mandriva-PLF. You could put one README file in the ftp server, or > anything similar for future reading. I already did a HOWTO which I published in September 2005 on this Mailinglist without any feedback. Yes, I can upload this HOWTO to the ftp-server, but at the moment there is no link to the anorien ftp-mirror no hint in the FAQ's so it doesn't make any difference if it is there or not, you know what I'm talking about? When I came her the first time some years ago (maybe 2004 as a newbie) I read the FAQ and found: Q: "Is there a alternative Mandrivalinux iso with PLF packages?" A: "By the past, we have done some try, but we didn't really understood all documentation of the script used to do the cd. We may try to do it once again. All help are welcome, of course." I tried to help, tried to understand the mkcd docs did some ISO's and a HOWTO but it seems that my results are not welcome (I don't know why). When I asked what should be on the ISO's I got an answer from many users but now when it's done it seems that nobody cares about that. I don't know who is maintaining the PLF Webside and could be asked to do something? Maybe I'm wrong, but at the moment it seems to me that I wasted my time... :-( Regards Stefan _______________________________________________ PLF-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://www.zarb.org/mailman/listinfo/plf-discuss
