Well, Unisys still currently holds and has patents pending on
improvements to the LZW compression algorithm, should all any of these
be given, then it would open another can of worms so LZW usage needs to
stay PLF.
As to fpx I had no issues building IM-6.3.2.9 or 6.3.3.0 with fpx
enabled on this system or on my x86_64 cooker system.
