I recently saw a blog post on handbrake, which looks just like something one
of the Mandriva users in my office could do with (and maybe me too ...).

http://handbrake.m0k.org/

Build instructions are here: http://handbrake.m0k.org/?page_id=9

So far, it seems mostly possible to build it against existing libs with
minimal effort, except that the following don't seem to be available yet:

-ldca
-lmkv
-lswscale

libdca seems to be split off from VLC, and is packaged in some other repos
(e.g. freshrpms, dag). So this should be packaged as a separate lib?

libmkv seems to be a library developed for handbrake. Should be easy enough to
package as a separate lib.

libswscale seems to live in mplayer, but apparently ffmpeg ships with a copy
too. Maybe it is best to bundle this with handbrake too?

I am happy to try and package all of these, and handbrake ... but was just
wondering if there are better solutions to the above.

Regards,
Buchan
