I would consider doing it, as most PLF p2p clients are in bad shape...
i.e. outdated or broken or unstable.

I'm just not sure of the "right" way to package frostwire.  It's java,
but includes some .so files... looks like 32-bit versions only.  And
looks like the entire thing has to be run from an application directory.
Would I use /usr/share or /usr/lib?

I'll leave it for a java expert, or someone who cares less about
standards.
