Hi,
mplayer doesn't use a win32 codec to play this movie, it uses ffmpeg for video and libfaad for audio. > Is it possible to compile mplayer and vlc so that uses libquicktime to > deal with QuickTime movies? No. None of them have support for libquicktime. Can you play this movie with another player with the right sync? If yes, please try first without pulse audio, which might cause sync problems. Then report upstream bugs.
