--- Comment #27 from Anshul <[email protected]> 2009-02-26 09:52:21 CEST --- Hi, I had to do a fresh install on my laptop, and used the libcairo2 RPM on my 2009.0 system. Strangely it didn't work this time. I dug a little deep and found some more patches for the fontconfig RPM, which updated the /etc/X11/Xresources file and added the following lines:- ! Ubuntu LCD sub-pixel font rendering: ! http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=186789 ! http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-511382.html ! Choices: lcdnone, lcddefault, lcdlight, lcdlegacy Xft.lcdfilter: lcddefault sh-3.2$ I then downloaded the SRPS (ftp://ftp.brebs.me.uk and Fedora 9 or 10 section) and checked if the fontconfig RPM had any patches...and it sure did! Attached are the patches and the spec file for the fontconfig RPM. In my earlier reply, the Xresources was updated (from my earlier installation) and when the fresh PLF libcairo2 came in, it picked it up..thus showing subpixel rendering. Apologies for not noticing this earlier! -Anshul -- Configure bugmail: http://plf.zarb.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes. _______________________________________________ PLF-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://www.zarb.org/mailman/listinfo/plf-discuss
