Hello, I am a developer for a new distribution called Unity Linux ( http://www.unity-linux.org). As part of our growth and development, we have been researching options for hosting what Mandriva refers to as PLF content (codecs, drivers, etc). Since Unity is only loosely based on Mandriva, using their PLF repo is unfortunately not possible. So, I would like to ask what options do we have? Can the maintainers of zarb.org set up a new repo just for Unity Linux (possibly to be maintained by us)? What other legal options do we have for hosting this content? What are the legal restrictions for hosting / offering this content?
