All, With my thanks to Wyn and the IA team, as well as to Atlassian and Balsamiq for granting us free licenses, we have some new tools to help us manage community projects:
http://projects.plone.org is an instance of JIRA with GreenHopper and Balsamiq Mockups installed http://projects-wiki.plone.org is an instance of Confluence, also with Balsamiq Mockups installed Both are connected to our LDAP repository, so your plone.org account should give you access. Members of the core developers (Committers) group have elevated administrative privileges, whilst those in the Collective and Archetypes commiters groups should be able to participate in any projects that are set up. These tools have been set up to help us manage "projects" such as Deco and an overhaul of the the Plone UI. They give us tools to track deliverables and tasks, plan our work, document progress and collaborate remotely. They can be used for focused sprints or over a longer period of time. (Note that we are not intending to use JIRA to replace Trac for bug tracking at this time, and have disabled some of the bug tracking features for that reason) You can read more about the intentions behind this and find a crash course in JIRA/GreenHopper and Confluence at http://plone.titanpad.com/5 [1] You'll also find we've set up a few projects such as Deco, Diazo/theming and Plone's UI overhaul already, cobbled together from disparate to-do lists and notes. If you want to get involved, hopefully this makes it easier to see what's outstanding and get involved. We look forward to hearing your feedback and hope you'll find this resource useful. Cheers, Martin [1] I'll migrate this to confluence once I have my broadband back. _______________________________________________ Product-Developers mailing list [email protected] https://lists.plone.org/mailman/listinfo/plone-product-developers
