I agree too. I made an override of the @@sharing view for Plone 3 some years ago for a customer project that shows up roles instead of showing "can review" (...) since the roles and workflows have been deeply customized on his site. Try to use http://pypi.python.org/pypi/collective.sharingroles to work around this. But I dunno if Plone 4 is supported.
