Hi, I thought I had my site root permission problems solved, but alas no. On my remote server, a Test User with the Member role cannot see the site root, even though this user has the View permission on the site root. I used the ZMI security tab to request the permissions of Test User in the site root, and he has the View permission there.
Strange enough, in my localhost this problem does not occur. Therefore, I used meld to compare the permissions in the site-root on localhost to the permissions on the remote host. In both cases, the permissions are the same (I'm pasting the result of the security tab in the ZMI below) Any ideas why I cannot see the site root with Test User on the remote server? (as I explained in a previous thread, before I "solved" the problem by giving normal users the Reader role, but this approach turned out to be a bad idea) Thanks!
