In general, you should try to avoid reinstalling products, as bad things
like this can happen. Upgrade steps are better ways of upgrading a product.
In general, I think a product (like dexterity) should try to be safe on
reinstall though.
I cannot imagine that adding the five:registerPackage has any influence
here.
I did see a fix for this in dexterity somewhere, but I don't know from
the top of my head where and in which version that would be.
