We are looking at transitioning from ArchGenUML to AGX for development of dexterity content types. Is anyone using AGX to develop dexterity products?

Please consider that dexterity generator for AGX is not 100% finished yet

If you are using it, were you able to transition previous UML projects (archetypes based) to dexterity?

It's not really possible to reuse existing models. First ArchGenXML models are UML 1.x, which handles stereotypes and tagged values in a different way than UML 2, which is used by AGX. Second the existing stereotypes and tagged values of ArchGenXML do not exist in AGX. Thus everything reuseable left after model migration would be the class elements and it's attributes, and all relevant stereotypes would need to be applied again. Also the way models are created for dexterity might slightly differ from the archetypes ones with dx behaviors in mind. And finally AGX does not know workflow generation yet.

What is your overall impression of AGX? Many thanks in advance!

well, as one oth the authors i'm sort of prejudiced ;)
