This worked for me, thanks for the pointer. The 2.0.5 files aren't available anymore, but the 2.0.4 installer works like a charm. Then I just did a file-level copy of my 2.0.5 installation and pointed the zopeservice.py file at the Python package installed by the 2.0.4 installer. Runzope.bat complained about the logger, but the service installed and it runs fine so far.
Two caveats: first, the 2.0.4 installer registered its Python replacing my existing Python 2.3.5, and it replaced PyWinTypes23.dll and PyWinCom23.dll with its own versions, though the earlier install seems to still work. And it somehow broke my Zope 2.8.7 install, bringing down an instance of Plone 2.1 that had been running fine, fortunately I was able to point it at a Zope 2.8.8 that was unscathed and brought it back up. -- Greg Delisle Cornell Lab of Ornithology http://www.birds.cornell.edu On Sat, Jan 22, 2011 at 8:28 PM, chris <[email protected]> wrote: > you can get a list of all the old releases here: > http://dist.plone.org:5021/archive/ > > I don't know if there's a windows installer for 2.0.5 though.
