Hi, Would there be any sense to make buildouts to have default allow-hosts configuration? E.g one described here http://opensourcehacker.com/2012/07/11/working-around-buildout-server-down-problems/
Pros * --allow-hosts speeds up BO quite a bit, because with it setutools does not try to crawl every cat picture link it finds in README.txt, CHANGES.txt and AUTHORS.txt * In fact, many of these links are permanently broken and may cause setuptools to wait $TIMEOUT until it figures out that maybe you can't get trick or treat on this door Cons * Your log and terminal looks like a warez site after MPAA visit with all those "Link to http://www.ijg.org/files/jpegsrc.v6b.tar.gz ***BLOCKED*** by --allow-hosts" notices Soo... could we get the best of the both worlds - Sane allow-host configuration - WITHOUT log pollution ??? -Mikko ----- Follow me in Twitter Read my blog -- View this message in context: http://plone.293351.n2.nabble.com/allow-hosts-and-why-life-is-so-sad-even-if-drinking-beer-tp7563041.html Sent from the Installation, Setup, Upgrades mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Setup mailing list [email protected] https://lists.plone.org/mailman/listinfo/plone-setup
