Hi Jim,

I have incorporated your patches together with Werner's corrections in the
source code. However, I have not yet been able to test them - CMake
seems happy about the code and with the report I could verify that it
is correctly
recognises the type of compiler - but due to some strangeness on my machine
CMake chokes at some of the other tests and no makefiles are produced.

(It reports a system error "Permission denied" - these errors are completely
random and seem to indicate a race condition between CMake and the
file management of my computer. I had these errors some time ago,
then they went away and now they are back - sigh.)

Anyhow, I am working on the problem with C-Fortran interoperability
and library interoperability now. (I wonder if we should not adopt
the approach taken by Radu Serban on the CMake list ...)

Regards,

Arjen
