I have committed changes to the debian scripts to allow building packages using the new CBS. Note that currently the python packages are disabled. Note that for testing with SVN the scripts also build the documentation from source. This is not necessary for official releases.
Please test this and let me have any feedback. Note, I am not a debian / ubuntu developer, so if anyone is and wants to adopt plplot, then please let me know. I have tested this with Ubuntu edgy. Currently cmake dependencies are disabled. Edgy ships with 2.4.3. You need at least 2.4.5 to build plplot so this has to be manually installed.
