I suggest you have a look at http://freeeos.sourceforge.net/alternate_paper_figures/eff_fit_fig3.png to give you a taste of what is possible with pngcairo. For this result, I am using the default text and graphics antialiasing provided by libcairo. It turns out the graphics antialiasing causes the 3D figure to be translucent, but I am happy with that side effect since I think it looks cool.
BTW, the point of the figure is it gives the errors of four different alternative approximations to the electron pressure representing various compromises between the order of the approximation (and therefore its accuracy) and speed. The electron pressure is a fundamental quantity that is required in order to calculate the equation of state for plasmas. Alan __________________________ Alan W.
