Tested your changes on Debian testing with wxwidgets 2.6.3.2.2-1. The wxwidgets device builds again, the issue I found with the install-tree build of wxPLplotDemo.cpp for -DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS=OFF is now gone, and you also solved the problems with -dev wxwidgets rendering that have been occurring for a while now.
