There was a possibility of a release of PLplot this weekend, but I frankly
have not had a chance to do all the extensive testing I want to do. Thus, I
consulted with Hazen, and he has agreed that the release date should be 8
days from now, Sunday, 2008-12-14. My apologies for the delay, but I hope
everybody will take this opportunity to test the svn trunk version has
extensively as possible including Doug Hunt's external work on
PDL::Graphics::PLplot (especially with 64-bit systems).

Doug, if you have a few more PDL examples you could implement before say
Friday, that would be great. I will try to finalize the version of
PDL::Graphics::PLplot that we refer to in cmake/modules/pdl.cmake that day
and finish up the testing that day and on Saturday before the release
on Sunday.
