I agree that example 16 would be a good place to use plspal1. Example 20 may be good as well with cmap1_gray.pal. Should color palette changes be added to the plot buffer? They are not currently. For example, cmap1 is changed during the course of example 20. If the plot pages of example 20 were replayed to a different plot stream this palette change would be lost.
