Thanks for highlighting this issue.

I believe I have just (revision 10187) fixed this by ignoring everything in
the version string after and including any character that does not match
[0-9.].  I have also taken the opportunity to make TRANSFORM_VERSION more
robust in other ways. Please give the new version a try and let me know
whether it solves the above issue.
