Doug, do you think it would be a good idea to bring the
PDL::Graphics::PLplot build into the PLplot source tree (say under
bindings/pdl)?  That would insure our users automatically have access to the
latest edition of your module that takes most advantage of PLplot
innovation.

Andrew, from the PLplot point of view it sounds like a separate
PDL::Graphics::PLplot package for Debian would be a good idea as well
(regardless of whether the PDL::Graphics::PLplot build becomes integrated
with PLplot).  Would you be willing to take on that extra Debian packaging
responsibility?
