I think you could remove all but the Linux* ones if you feel the saving of
something like 34K uncompressed or ~8K compressed is worth your while.
However, you should test the result to be sure the removed files are not
essential by running the cmake-based build system for the installed examples
following the instructions I gave recently here on list.  Note, cmake-2.6.4
is a prerequisite for running that build system.
