According to Bill Hoffman on the cmake mailing list, he hopes the the final
release of 2.8.0 will occur this week.

Accordingly, I tested RC6 (the latest release candidate that came out today)
every way I could with PLplot builds and tests on Linux and all seems well.
That's in stark contrast to all the troubles we had (remember the Ada
language support issues?) transitioning from CMake-2.4 to CMake-2.6, and a
tribute to how well the CMake developers are currently supporting backwards
compatibility.

Thanks, Werner, for making this good result possible by dealing with the
PLplot wxwidgets build issues that Orion reported for earlier release
candidates for 2.8.0.

Once the final version of CMake-2.8.0 is released I suggest everybody give
it a try.
