Hi Andrew:

Thanks for this effort.

The 3D text results for both the ps and psttf devices now look much better,
but I have noticed some remaining 3D text justification issues on the second
and third pages.  The ps results are too far to the left and the psttf
results are too far to the right for the justification 0.5 placement of the
3D text that has been requested.  The xwin device is worse in that regard
(way too far to the left) which I don't understand since that is just
drawing everything in the Hershey glyphs using basic core logic.  So there
may be some easy-to-fix bug for 3D text justification for drivers like these
which let the PLplot core do more than in the case of other devices.

In contrast to these poor 3D text justification results, the svg (as viewed
by konqueror which displays SVG's using reliable text placement), qt, and
cairo devices do 3D text justification correctly.
