Hi Werner:

Since you didn't respond to the above question in a different thread, I
assume you are not concerned with such a change so I have gone ahead.  See
the revised result now at plplot.sf.net that was generated from revision
11067.  If after looking at that you prefer some other way to present our
news to interested site users than please go ahead.

For everybody here, that revised result also includes the sed fix for the
info menu entries.  For those doing distribution packaging, I would advise
using a patch to the released version of 5.9.6 consisting of revision 11066
changes (the revision that changed doc/docbook/src/CMakeLists.txt to use sed
to correct the long-standing menu problem in our generated info results).
