Thanks for implementing this really good idea.

However, I am not keen on the proliferation of various similar
test_mem*.py scripts. Let me know what do you think of the idea of
amalgamating one configurable test_plsmem.py(.in) that produces
results for each of mem, memcairo, and memqt if those drivers are
available.  This allows each of those devices to have the background
colour I put in as an additional test of plsmem(a) in the current
test_memcairo.py.  I will try to do that amalgamated implementation
late today or early tomorrow (Friday) if I don't hear any objections
from you.
