It is currently in a partially completed stage. More work would need to 
be done to finish the C implementation.

At this point I'd say that I'm leaning towards "not particularly 
useful". I guess I don't feel inspired enough about it to complete the 
implementation. My thinking is that it would be better to pull it out 
rather than leave it in in its quarter-completed state.
