my C skills mostly predate the introduction of const, but perhaps this web page will clarify to me _how_ to use it. Frankly, I have been puzzled over the correct use/placement of the keyword and that has probably led to me never really looking into it. I agree though that if this will clarify the intended use of the arguments (if only to the human reader), we should use it.
